Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in health and behavioral health fields (such as but not limited to social work, counseling, medicine, dentistry, nursing, and psychology) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; College of Southern Nevada; Nevada State College and Great Basin College.
Training is available in online, in-person, or hybrid formats. In-person training includes Motivational Interviewing role-play and skills practice.
Interested instructors may contact us to request one of our qualified guest speakers or attend one of our Faculty Train-the Trainer Sessions to learn how to provide the training themselves. Departments are encouraged to adopt SBIRT education as a part of the ongoing curriculum for their health/ behavioral health programs.
